That ye may be able to stand
As this world enters into these end times, the last days: we need to
understand that the true Bible believing Christian is at the
forefront of criticism. The one way to God has become offensive to
the non-believer. This stance has become the standard in which some
Christian churches are now taking part of as well.
We need, now more then ever before, to understand what truth is and
to know why we, as true believers believe what we do. We are told
that we are not to partake of this coming one world government. We
are also told not to physically fight against it as well.
When Jesus walked this earth he never formed a posse to fight
against the Roman empire which was occupying Jerusalem at that time.
However we cannot take part in this ungodly organization either as
spoken of by the prophet Amos,
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together,
except they be agreed?
We are also told in
2Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from
among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the
unclean thing; and I will receive you,
This is a time when we will need to stand and not compromise our
trust and faith in Jesus Christ the Lord.
As always, the Bible gives us encouragement and instruction in all
ways of truth and righteousness. We are instructed in
1Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the
power of God. We are to stand on the authority of Gods Word
not the wisdom of man.
Jesus tells us in the book of Luke that we are to watch and pray
always against the evil of this world that we might be able to stand
before Him on that day.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray
always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things
that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
We are instructed to study God's Word that we may be able to stand
in the coming days ahead. Here is a partial list of verses from the
Word of God.
Romans 5:2
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein
we stand, and rejoice
in hope of the glory of God. We stand
on the Word and faith of God not on the foolishness of man.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached

the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness;
Philippians 1:27 Only
let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that
whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your
affairs, that ye stand fast
in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the
gospel;
Philippians 4:1
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and
crown, so stand fast in
the Lord, my dearly beloved.

may stand perfect and
complete in all the will of God.

now we live, if ye stand fast
in the Lord.
2Thessalonians 2:15

1Peter 5:12 By
Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written
briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of
God wherein ye stand.
In Exodus God instructed Moses to stand before Pharaoh.
Reading in Exodus 8:20 And the LORD said unto
Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo,
he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD,
Let my people go, that they may serve me.
Those who can not stand before God will fall:
In Exodus the magicians could not stand or oppose Moses who was the
mouth piece of God.
Exodus 9:11 And the magicians could
not stand before Moses
because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon
all the Egyptians.
Scripture tells us in
1Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that
thinketh he standeth take heed lest he
fall.
Proverbs 16:18
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty
spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 28:14
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart
shall fall into
mischief.
When the soldiers came before Jesus in the garden to take him
to Annas the high priest, they were not able to stand before Him as
stated in John
18:5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus
saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood
with them. (6) As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they
went backward, and fell
to the ground.
In the book of Revelation the great city of Babylon cannot stand
against the judgment of God.
Revelation 18:2 And he
cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen, and
is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul
spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Revelation 6:17
For the great day of his wrath is come; and
who shall be able to stand?
