Phases of the Earth
Phase 1 - The first six days:
| Phase 1 - Creation | |
|
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. |
At the
beginning of time God started creating the heavens and the
Earth. The creator was God the Son which is Jesus. This can
be referenced in
Colossians 1:16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and
that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all
things were created by him, and for him: (17)
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. and also in John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
|
| Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. | At this point in time the earth was without form, this refers to the shape or structure (or lack thereof). It had no order or followed no laws of physics of any kind. There was no light upon the deep, again at this time the land and the seas were not formed. |
| Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. |
God simply
spoke and there was light. This shows the awesome power of
God. God only needed to speak and the light appeared. God
has the power to merely speak and all things obey his voice.
This new light that God created was not the light from the
Sun or moon or even the stars. This light was the essence of
the existence of light itself. * Here the word for light is "or" meaning the existence or creation of light (Origin of Light)
|
|
Genesis 1:4 And God saw
the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from
the darkness. |
God verified
that the light was good and complete.
Before God created light there was only darkness. God now allows the light and the darkness to co-exist or to intermix or to have both light and dark or day and night or anything else in between. The day was called light and the dark was called night. This completes day 1 of creation |
| Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. | |
| Genesis 1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. |
firmament: the
word denotes an expanse, a wide extent; the great arch or
expanse over our heads, in which are placed the atmosphere
and the clouds, and in which the stars appear to be placed
and are really seen. A strong dome or tent spread out above the Earth. Here God
divided the waters from the waters, See Genesis 1:7 for more
detail. |
| Genesis 1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. |
Here we have in
this order: The Earth, The waters (on the surface of the Earth), The firmament, and the waters above the earth.
|
|
Genesis 1:8 And
God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the
morning were the second day.
|
This completes day 2 of creation. |
|
Genesis 1:9 And God
said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together
unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
|
Before this time the waters covered the whole surface of the Earth. There was no dry land, God caused the water to congregate in pools on the earth. This was done by creating gravity which keeps the oceans and seas in check |
|
Genesis 1:10 And God
called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the
waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
|
Dry land was now visible. God reviewed his work by Himself, and saw that it was superb. |
|
Genesis 1:11 And God
said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding
seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind,
whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
|
God now creates
all types of grass, plants and trees of all variations. He
created them so it could produce seed which would be used to
replenish the Earth. Again God reviewed his work and was
pleased with the results.
|
|
Genesis 1:12 And the
earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his
kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself,
after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
|
|
|
Genesis 1:13 And the
evening and the morning were the third day.
|
This completes day 3 of creation. |
|
Genesis 1:14 And God
said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to
divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs,
and for seasons, and for days, and years: |
Starting day 4,
God made the stars and placed them in the heavens
(firmaments). He also created the day and night and the
seasons for the earth. The day and nights are made possible
by the earth turning on it's axis once per 24 hours, This
allowed a 12 hour period of light or day, and a 12 hour
period of darkness or night. The seasons are made possible
by the earth revolving around the sun. This means that God
caused the earth to spin and placed it in it's orbit around
the sun. This also tell us that the earth is the oldest
thing in the universe as it was created before the sun, moon
and the stars. Take note that God created the seasons and
the sun and moon on day 4.
*Here the word light is "maor" meaning to the ultimate focusing of light.
|
|
Genesis 1:15 And let
them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give
light upon the earth: and it was so.
|
The lights in the heavens are the stars or any other glowing object in the sky. |
|
Genesis 1:16 And God
made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day,
and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars
also.
|
Here God created the sun and the moon. |
|
Genesis 1:17 And God set
them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the
earth, |
He placed them at their appropriate distances from earth in order to sustain his creation. |
|
Genesis 1:18 And to rule
over the day and over the night, and to divide the light
from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
|
The sun was created to shine during the day time hours and the moon was to shine during the night. God saw that it was good. |
|
Genesis 1:19 And
the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
|
This completes day 4 of creation. |
|
Genesis 1:20 And God
said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving
creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the
earth in the open firmament of heaven.
|
Starting day 5, God created fish and all living creatures in the waters. He also created all variety's of birds to fly above the earth. |
|
Genesis 1:21 And God
created great whales, and every living creature that moveth,
which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind,
and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it
was good. |
God created all species of fish and all sea living creatures. He also created all winged fowl or birds of the air. He created them abundantly or in large quantities or plentifully. |
|
Genesis 1:22 And God
blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill
the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
|
God blessed his creatures and commanded them to multiply or to reproduce upon the face of the earth. |
|
Genesis 1:23 And the
evening and the morning were the fifth day.
|
This completes day 5 of creation. |
|
Genesis 1:24 And God
said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after
his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth
after his kind: and it was so. |
Starting day 6, God starting creating all other animals. Take note the God said it, and it was so. |
|
Genesis 1:25 And
God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle
after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the
earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
|
God created both male and female or every kind of beast and every thing that crawls on the earth. God reviewed his handy work and saw that it was good. |
|
Genesis 1:26 And God
said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and
let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over
the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the
earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth. |
Next God created Man. Man was the last thing that God created. Man was placed over all other fish, birds and beasts on the entire earth. Man in the hierarchy (chain of command) is placed over all creatures on the earth. The hierarchy is as follows: God, Man (Male), Man (Female), Children, Animals and then the earth itself. |
|
Genesis 1:27 So God
created man in his own image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them. |
|
|
Genesis 1:28 And God
blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the
air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
|
God blessed Man and told him to multiply or to reproduce to fill the earth. And again God is stating that man is to have rule over all creatures placed on the earth. In today's world some animals have more rights then humans. Some earth religions place the animals and "mother earth" as being equal or higher then man. We can see from these scriptures this is not the case. We only need to look into Gods word to find his plan of salvation. |
|
Genesis 1:29 And God
said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed,
which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in
the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it
shall be for meat.
|
It is plain
that a vegetable diet alone is expressly accepted to man in
this original passage, and it is probable that this alone
was designed for him in the state in which he was created.
But we must bear in mind that he was constituted master of
the animal as well as of the vegetable world; and we cannot
positively affirm that his dominion did not involve the use
of them for food.
|
|
Genesis 1:30 And to
every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and
to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there
is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was
so.
|
|
|
Genesis 1:31 And God saw
every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
|
Here God reviews all things that he created and saw that his creations was good. This completes day 6 of creation |
|
Genesis 2:2 And
on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and
he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had
made.
|
On day seven God rested. His creation was completed. The earth and all things in, on and above were finished. |
Phase
2 -
Noah and The Flood
| Phase 2 - The Flood | |
|
Genesis 7:17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
|
The flood lasted 40 days and 40 nights upon the earth. Noah build an ark or a boat or ship as directed by God. Noah and his family lived in the ark until the water abated. |
|
Genesis 7:18 And
the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the
earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
|
During this 40 days of rain the water over took everything on the face of the earth. |
|
Genesis 7:19 And
the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the
high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
|
The waters rose and covered everything on the earth, even the highest mountains were covered with waters. |
|
Genesis 7:20
Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the
mountains were covered.
|
The mountains were covered over by 15 cubits of water. 15 cubits equals 22 1/2 feet. |
| Genesis 7:23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. |
A interesting thing to note is that it makes no mention of the creatures in the sea. It would appear that the inhabits of, or those that dwell in the sea were spared. |
Phase 3 - The Rapture
The Rapture will occur when God will remove his chosen people from the earth. First the dead in Christ will rise then we that are living will be caught up or taken with him into heaven. After this time the most darkest times will begin on the earth. As of now God will not allow the full force of Satan to come against the people of the Earth. However after the Christians (Gods chosen people) leave the earth God will allow Satan full access to mankind.
1Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord
himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of
the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ
shall rise first: (17) Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet
the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Phase 4 - The Tribulation
The Tribulation will happen very soon after the rapture and begins when the Anti-Christ signs a covenant or treaty with Israel for seven and one half years. This starts the tribulation.
Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Phase 5 - The Battle Armageddon
The battle of Armageddon is the battle between the forces of evil which is Satan and his followers, and good which is Jesus Christ and his followers.
Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Phase 6 - The Millennium (one thousand years)
Jesus Christ reigns on the Earth with the saints (those who were saved) for one thousand years. Satan will be bound at this time and will not be able to tempt Gods people.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy
is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second
death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ,
and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Phase 7 - Heaven and Earth pass away
After Satan is released for a short season he is free to deceive the nations once more. He calls the nations together for the final rebellion. The Lamb (Jesus Christ) overcomes Satan one last time. Satan and his followers are cast into the lake of fire forever. During this time of rebellion the earth will be shaken out of it place (orbit) and will be destroyed. Heaven and Earth will pass away.
Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Phase 8 - A new heaven and a new Earth
God will create a new Heaven and a new Earth along with a new Jerusalem. His saints will reign with God forever.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new
heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away; and there was no more sea. (2) And I
John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
