Bible Time Christian VS. Modern day Christian

In the fast pace of today’s society we find that things change very rapidly. Great strides are taking place world wide. What used to take years to do now takes months. Computers double their speed every 18 months or so.

This fast pace, break neck change has not left the religion world behind. We find that new religions are being identified monthly, and the old religions are changing their course and heading off into new territory. The politically correct statements are almost always Christian incorrect statements. It seams that with all of this new religion touting their religions tolerance, or broadmindedness, that those who still want to practice the old Christians ways, would be accepted as part of this "new age religion" tolerance.

However this is not true and is very much the opposite, all religions are accepted but the true bible Christians. This is even more evident with the removal of any reference to the old time bible Christian religions today. Let me explain, the word of God clearly states that there is only one God. We read in Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (mammon - A Syriac word meaning riches. It is used, also, as an idol as the god of riches.) This scripture clearly states that you either serve God or Satan there is no other choice.

Here are some of the differences that make this very clear and it focused on the youth of today. Serving Satan is a religion, but it is allow to go unchecked and is welcomed with wide open arms.

You cannot have the Holy Bible in school	But	You can have other non Christian material as well as sex novels and this is ok
The Christian faith can not be taught in the public schools	But	In some schools reading Harry Potter is part of the curriculum
Sustaining from pre-marital sex is not taught	But	Condoms are freely handed out to students and the parents are not involved
A heterosexual life style is to be taught	But	Now It’s ok to be gay
Children should obey their parents	But	You are your own person, you do not have to listen to your parents
You cannot openly pray in the public schools	But	Cursing and profanity is common place and is now accepted
That God created the heaven's and the earth	But	we evolved from lower forms of life, life in itself happened by chance

I always found it interesting that the new church age which is supposed to be so open-minded, and that real Bible Christians are so closed minded, that the open-minded people are too closed minded to understand that the Bible is real and genuine and has proven itself over thousands of years.

This is a copy of the new church doctrine taken from their website. First read it in its entirety then we will break it down and compare it to the word of God.

The Lord's universal church includes all people who live a good life according to their own religious beliefs. All people can go to heaven as long as they do what they believe is right in the sight of their God.

People should be free to find their own spiritual path, and must not be forced to believe anything or to do anything any church teaches against their will. People should compel themselves to not do hurtful things and to love and do good to others. Individual spiritual growth and freedom go hand in hand.

Spiritual rebirth is a process. The path to spiritual life is one of spiritual progress, not spiritual perfection. Faith, and a life according to one's faith, is a dynamic process of change and growth. Individuals who are growing in the Lord continue to grow forever.

The Bible is the Word of God and can be read on many different levels. There is a deeper symbolic meaning to the stories in the Bible which teaches individuals about their own spiritual lives. Life after death is real, and the details about that life have been explained in the teaching of Emanuel Swedenborg's book Heaven and Hell. All people who die wake up safe in the afterlife. Those who have made their life heavenly in this world find themselves in a heavenly way of life in the next. Those who have chosen to make their life a hell in this world find this reality waiting for them in the next. People freely choose their eternal destiny. The love in marriage is a special gift from the Lord. When spiritual principles are applied not only to one's spiritual growth, but also to the marriage relationship, troubled times can be overcome, and that marriage will grow in friendship, mutual support, and happiness. Genuine marriage does not end with death, but continues to eternity. Read Marriage Love, which describes the blessings of marriage and how they are achieved, and also read Together as One, which shows how marriage and other teachings of the New Church are related and work together as one.

The second coming of Christ does not mean the destruction of all of creation and a fierce judgment on humankind. The second coming is taking place right now, in a new understanding of Jesus Christ, as revealed in the teachings of the New Church, and brought to being in our individual and collective lives. This coming of the Lord is the dawn of a new age of genuine Christianity.

So this means that Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden are good people, All three of these leaders believe that they are living a good life according their own religious beliefs. This teaching is a lot like the church of the Laodiceans which is mention in Revelation 3:14-22. Laodicea means "human rights" or "the rights of the people." Thus, this was a church governed by the will of the people, rather than the will of God. The statement which is made "in the sight of their God" says that each person must have their own God.
People should be free to find their own spiritual path, and must not be forced to believe anything or to do anything any church teaches against their will.	The God of the Bible does not force his will on anyone, neither should we.
People should compel themselves to not do hurtful things and to love and do good to others. Individual spiritual growth and freedom go hand in hand.	People only have a limited power over the works of Satan. We in ourselves can not obtain goods works (or compel themselves to not do hurtful things) it must come from the Holy Spirit.

The parables in the bible should be interpreted by way of the Holy Spirit; this will give a true meaning to Gods word.

When we die we will be in the “after life” which is before the throne of GOD on judgment day, there we will be judged according to our works. (Revelations 20:12)

So as you can see by their own church statement that this teaching only believes in some portions of the bible. And furthermore because each person has their own God, each person could believe different parts of the bible and still be a Christian.

There is only one God as we read in James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. There can be only one way to salvation, and that is through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

In the book of Revelation we are given a strong warning that if anyone adds or removes anything from the Bible which is the word of God, God will remove his name from the book of life. Or he will face the wrath of God as mentioned in this book.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

In todays world we don’t want to hear the full gospel of the truth, this is because we would rather live in sin then to honor Gods Word. Therefore they water down the Holy Bible and don’t teach what it really says. This is mainly done by only believing portions of the Bible. Most new age Christians believes what God will do for us and that he exists, but don’t believe what we must do for God. This is summed in 2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Anyone who does not believe the whole Bible will never fully understand what the plan of salvation is or what God has in store for his chosen people. As we read in 2 Timothy 3:7 ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
